Frosted

Warren McWilliams

Genre: Pantomime

Cast size: 14 +Chorus

Duration: Two Act

Warren McWilliams | Pantomime | Full-length | 7m, 5f, 2m/f +Chorus

Short synopsis

The audience will probably be familiar with the storyline, given the panto's affinity to a certain children's film and stage musical with a vaguely similar title. See also the 'Frosted' Junior version of this panto.

'Frosted' though has been given the full panto treatment, and it's packed with gags, new characters and is something totally new for your audience to enjoy - and they won't be able to let it go until the lights dim after the curtain calls at the end.

Featuring all the traditional elements of pantomime this new show written by Warren McWilliams promises to warm the hearts of children of all ages and adults alike. The story tells the tale of two Princesses as one struggles to come to terms with the magical powers she has been given. Can they survive the snow storm?

Will they ever find true love, or will their kingdom be taken over by a wicked Prince? Watch the show to find out how strong the bond between sisters can be and that they’ll stop at nothing to look after each other.

Principals : 6m, 4f

  • Princess Ella - kind but conflicted, her powers give her great cause for concern and she would rather be without them, as a result, she keeps herself away from others to stop any potential problems

  • Kristian - good hearted, laid back, has a dim view on those of privilege as they haven’t had to work for all they have
  • Dame Florrie - a friendly nursemaid who looks out for Ella and Hannah, the ‘dame’ character
  • Prince Anders - a handsome but wicked man, ladies love him but his main interest is in power, has space for only one thing in his heart: power

  • Frosty - the Duke reborn, a lover of life, happy to be alive and determined to fill every second with fun (usually doubles with Duke Wesley)
  • The Snow Fairy - an enchantress who looks out for the Princesses
  • Sinestra - Anders’ overprotective, over officious bodyguard (f)
  • Token - owner of Tokens Alpine Lodge Disco Bar and Sauna, speaks with a ‘foreign’ accent (m)

Frequently asked questions

Can we try before we buy?

Of course! All our plays and pantomimes have a free Preview Script available for download as an A4 pdf file that contains 60-75% of the full script. If you like what you read then you can buy an inexpensive e-script of the entire play (typically less than half the cost of a traditional printed script) which is licensed to you for your personal use. Purchasing a script copying licence allows you to make just enough copies to support rehearsals and performances.

All our musicals are included in our perusal service. Through this, representatives of producing organisations can request a USB Stick of perusal material  which comprise the script/libretto and piano/vocal score as PDF files; a Cast (or Studio) Recording as MP3 files and (where available) an MP4 file video of either the premiere production or of a subsequent production.

Some titles have the facility to read the entire script online on our website.

Do we need a Licence To Perform?

The simple answer is, yes.

Under the international laws of copyright, you must be in possession of a valid, unexpired licence before performing any piece of theatre unless the owner or managers of the copyright has waived their rights.

Why do you insist on providing a formal royalties quotation?

When you request a quotation, it is logged in our system, it forms part of an orderly queue and protects your place in that queue should multiple licensing requests occur for the same show.
