Chris Chambers

Chris is an actor, writer, director, composer & musician. He studied English at Cambridge University and trained in classical acting at LAMDA. Credits as an actor include work with:  Birmingham Stage Company (Skellig/The Firework Maker’s Daughter), Bolton Octagon (Robin Hood), Theatre Rites (In One Ear), Polka Theatre (All Join In), Oxford Stage Company (Hamlet/Twelfth Night), The Scoop (Treasure Island/Children of Hercules/The London Nativity), Another Way Theatre (Antony in Antony & Cleopatra/Trevor in Recital/Shakespeare-in-Shorts & Smorgasbard).

As a writer he has had a number of musicals produced, both as book-writer and composer/lyricist - including Gulliver’s Travels (Alexandra Theatre, Bognor Regis & Minack Theatre), Elephant of My Heart (Edinburgh Festival), Olympus The Musical (Ashcroft Theatre & Minack Theatre), Gunpowder, Treason & Plot (ADC Theatre), Snow White/The Wizard of Oz (The Arc) & The Wabbit King (UK Tour).

Directing credits include Guys and Dolls (CIT), Cyrano de Bergerac (ADC), Twelfth Night (Middle Temple Hall), A Midsummer Night’s Dream & Recital (Caterham Festival), Between Friends (Causeway Hall), Antony & Cleopatra, The Seagull, Hamlet, Olympus The Musical & Jane Eyre (Minack Theatre).

Chris is currently Head of Drama Productions at Trinity School in Croydon, where he enjoys working with large casts! His recently produced shows include The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe (in a new version), The Wizard of Oz, Shakespeare-In-Love, Shrek The Musical, Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Oliver, Treasure Island, Cyrano de Bergerac & The Importance of Being Earnest.

Chris is the artistic director of  Another Way Theatre
