Margaret grew up in Cheshire, where she still lives.  She is an author, poet and playwright; a member of the Society of Authors and a member of the Crime Writers’ Association and has won awards for several of her short plays.

In 2019 her play The Bus Stop was performed at The Old Sawmill, Congleton, Cheshire, Poynton Civic Hall, Poynton, Cheshire, Romiley Methodist Church Hall, Romiley, Stockport and in 2021 was performed at Buxton Festival Fringe, Buxton, Derbyshire.
