Roger first appeared on the Erith Playhouse stage as a Pixey at the tender age of 11 and was hooked!  So started a hobby which he has enjoyed all his life.

Over the years he has been very fortunate to have been cast in a variety of plays, musicals and pantomimes. As an amateur you get the opportunity to perform a wide variety of parts; and he was particularly fortunate to be cast as Billy Flynn in the musical "Chicago" and Salieri in the play "Amadeus”.

Performing of course is very satisfying but he also enjoys backstage work. For many years he has designed, built and painted a whole variety of stage sets.  In addition he has directed plays, musicals, and pantomimes, two of which were self penned.  Over the years he has been privileged to have spent some time serving as Chair for the Erith Theatre Guild and the Hulviz Operatic Society.
